INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The Diet Coke screen saver requires Berkeley Systems, Inc. AFTER DARK™ for the Macintosh to be installed on your computer in order to run as a screen saver.
AFTER DARK 2.0: For installation and use with After Dark version 2.0, copy the Coca-Cola Module for After Dark and the Diet Coke animation file into your After Dark Files folder in your System folder. MAKE SURE that the Diet Coke animation file is placed in the same folder (directory) as the Coca-Cola After Dark module!
AFTER DARK 3.0: PLEASE NOTE- For installation and use with After Dark version 3.0, copy the Coca-Cola module and the Diet Coke animation file into the After Dark 2.0 folder inside the After Dark Files folder in your System folder. After Dark 3.0 will not recognize the module unless it is inside a folder already in the After Dark Files folder.
If you already have a Coca-Cola Module in After Dark you may simply add the new Diet Coke animation file to the same folder. If you copy and replace a Coca-Cola Module that's OK, you won't lose any animations.
NO AFTER DARK?: If you do not have After Dark you can still view the Diet Coke animations simply by double-clicking the Diet Coke animation file itself.
HOW TO USE: Open the After Dark Control Panel by selecting it from the Control Panels in the Apple Menu. Select the Coca-Cola module from the list. The Coca-Cola module offers a pop-up list of playable animation files. Select the Diet Coke screen saver animation file you wish to play from the pop-up list. The Coca-Cola module does not offer a demo. You may test the animation by moving the mouse to the “instant sleep” corner of the screen.
HOW IT WORKS: The Diet Coke screen saver animations are grouped together in a single animation projector. When the Diet Coke screen saver animation first runs it is set by default to play in random order all the different Coke animations inside the file. If you want to select a single animation within the file to repeat, here’s how to do it:
SELECTING A SINGLE ANIMATION TO PLAY: Each time the screen saver animation is activated it pauses and displays on screen its own internal screen saver menu for 15 seconds. You may click on your choice with the mouse or press a number key to indicate your choice. You may return to the screen saver selection menu at any time while the screen saver is active by pressing the “Control” key. Remember, this is a screen saver, so pressing any other key or moving the mouse will cause the saver to quit. Only the “Control” key will return you to the menu. While the menu screen is visible, you have 15 seconds to make your choice before the animation returns to “screen saving.”
